I can stop smiling! Seriously!! Being an ardent fan of Obama, I really cant stop smiling since yesterday. In today's scenario, where we are fighting two battles which have gone completely awry and our economy that is in the biggest storm, we needed a smart and courageous person to lead us. And I think there is nobody better than Obama for it.
I cannot believe the frenzy this guy has created among the people of this nation. It is hard to believe that a year ago at this time, we were almost certain that Hillary Clinton will win the Democrats nomination. And then came Barrack Obama with his charisma and tides were changed completely and I have to say that I am glad that they did.
But with the happiness comes the nervousness!! There are too many expectations from Obama. People love him and I think a little too much. When we love somebody, we sometimes tend to forget that he is a human being too. We expect that person to solve all our problems in a second, but things happen as and when they are supposed to happen.
Anyways, Welcome Mr. President!!
I lost my parents very early in life and will always have the regret that I couldn't spend much time with them. I loved my mom and my dad was my best friend and I would give anything to have them back in my life. To be honest, I cannot even imagine how can a child dump his or her parents in a senior citizens home? How can you abandon a person that has brought you in this world and fulfilled your every wish in life? At least for me, it is very heartbreaking to see the plight of such people who are literally living a life of solitude in a virtual jail. Yes I know that such facilities take good care of them. Probably better than we could ever. But is the care worth lonliness they endure?
NO!!! Its not. And that is why I try to visit senior citizen homes and spend some time with people. And trust me, I have the best of times. It is so good to see that even in this age and with many health problems, most of the senior citizens have a great spirit in them. They have stories to tell, experiences to share and words of wisdoms which you will not hear anywhere else.
So what are you waiting for? Go to your nearest facility and sign up as a volunteer. I am 100% sure that you are going to have a good time there and you will definitely be a better person at the end of it.
But just one advice- Don't think of this work as a charity because just because the people in those facilities are old and weak, they don't become an object of pity. Share your thoughts. Don't act as if you are there to do some "relief mission"
Few people realize, but poverty has been the worst curse on humanity ever since the beginning on modern. Poverty not only makes a person's life a living hell but it also gives birth to many social evils. Many reports suggest that the sudden rise in the crime all around the world in the last few decades is directly connected with the increasing gap between poor and rich people. Today's economies are so business centric that they don't care about the welfare of other people who need help. All they care is their own profit. As a result, the rich are becoming richer but at the same time poor are becoming poorer.
We as a society are responsible for this phenomenon and it is up to us to stop it. I think it is our responsibility to help poor rise above their poverty and give them a good and respectful life.
What do you think????
. But I must admit she is indeed a great looker with a great body. There is another tiny trivia - She is a Beach Volleyball Pro! But don't let your imagination run wild as she left early as she had to be a friend's place for some wedding rehersal dinner. She left after just a couple of beers. I don't know, why at the first place, I thought the date had any potential?
I am getting all excited about the weekend. Can't concentrate on work, can't stop thinking about her. Her name is... no, not now, maybe later. When I am sure and would be the right time to let the world know. I feel like a teenager. It has been long since I have felt this way. I have had short flings but never felt so apprehensive and nervous about a date. Common, I am a grown man and that too a tough one. No kiddin. I am serious. I called up yesterday, on the number she had giver and she answered it on the second ring... as if she had been waiting for my call. Well after we finished with the niceties, she got a bold and started flirting. I was caught offgaurd but absolutely loved it. She teased my passion for biking, then soon revealed she knows a lot about bikes as she grew up with 4 older brothers! When I asked her out. She was more than willing. Guys, I just can't wait to meet her this weekend!
We got talkin and I discovered she has also recently walked away from a bad relationship. Gave me her number and said "Call me!" Did I call? Will tell you later....
